Dr James Walker has been serving the Taranaki community for over 25 years. He was trained in the USA having received a BSc degree from the University of Michigan and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences. He is an ACC approved provider.

Your first visit will include a detailed history taking where you will discuss with the chiropractor your current problem and any previous health care issues that might effect your current health concerns.  Next, a comprehensive physical and spinal examination will be performed to determine the cause of your health issues.  Although x-rays are not routinely taken on all new patients, if there is something in your examination findings that requires further investigation you will be referred to a local imaging centre. Following examination the chiropractor will discuss with you his findings. If it is determined that you may benefit from chiropractic care, treatment will begin immediately.  Treatments usually consist of pre-manipulation soft tissue massage and muscle balancing followed by spinal or extravertebral joint manipulation by hand using Diversified Technique.
